The airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow depends on many factors and parameters. For example, an African Swallow would tend to travel at a different velocity than an European Swallow. Furthermore, their flight patterns are different, so their instantaneous velocity at a given point will almost always be different. However, technological advances have given way to being able to use swallows to transport husked coconuts across large distances, enabling us to use coconuts on a daily basis, provided we have a large contingent of willing swallows ready to make a nonstop convoy for X amount of time, or however long we wish. Swallows can also be modified, as attaching a 50 newton rocket propulsion system on a 1 kg swallow will result in an acceleration of 50 m/s(2), which is of course negating any air resistance, since swallows have been recorded as outer space fliers. I hope i cleared any doubts about this matter.

Sir Bedevere: How do know so much about swallows?

King Arthur: When your king, you got to know these things.

Yea, Jowall that is totally cool of you; giving those in a money pitch a little early Christmas present...

I am not familiar with that kite, is it pretty safe for a beginner? He or she is left to gather a bar and lines and that may open the door for an unsafe configuration and or additioanl purchasing that may have been better directed towards a good beginner kite???

Don't you just love it when you go out of your way to do something good and unselfish then a negitive-nelly (such as myself) pulls a downer on your love?

I used to ride Rage IIs with jowall three years ago (had an 8 and a 12), they were good kites at the time (good depower range + inexpensive) with the key negative being the high bar pressure.

The Rage II can use most traditional bars (even better if you have a longer throw for greater depower), i.e. when fully sheeted in and at full power, the front and back pigtails are even.

If Downhiller can bring his parents to pick this up, it's yours. Glad it might get some use. You'll need any standard 4 line bar. If you're thinking about what type of kite you'll want to fly later, you could buy that bar new now and just keep it.

Sorry to the other 2 guys but I just want to follow the loose rules I laid out.

Dewey's line was so funny he almost took the kite, but then again he rode some of these babies BITD didn't you?
