No, I was with relatives. I was about to change into my wetsuit when they said they were hungry. At least my girlfriend was able to fly my 3 meter foil kite on the ocean side.
It was a good workout for her to learn how to control a foil in gusty conditions. She was actually lifted from the ground, she remembered the drills that I told her, ditched the kite like she was supposed to. Landed cleanly back on the ground. Now she understood why I kept nagging her and made her demonstrate to me all the time the emergency procedures. According to her, it felt like an innate move to pull the release trigger as soon as she felt she was in trouble.
Thanks for all the tips, locals are super cool and friendly. Looks like you guys had fun, 15 to 20 knot steady winds, nice! I'll post some of the pictures that I took later once I get them uploaded from my low tech digital camera. Too bad I did not have a better camera.
Good times,

looks like a fun spot. What are good conditions for Bodega (wind direction, etc)?

Bodega gets good on nw winds in afternoon from 2:00 on, but if high pressure systems (hot days) it can be iffy. When marine fog layers come in and burn off its pretty good everyday. Every thing good comes in cycles so watch and be ready. 8-9m -16 when light will do it. See you here there or in the air!
