3rd US Nationals ready to go in Corpus Christi

The Corpus Christi Yacht Club and NJS Designs are ready to host the 3rd US Nationals in Kite surfing/Course Racing this week. The event will be held on McGee beach, located downtown in Corpus Christi from Wednesday, May 6th through Saturday May 9th. A very promising weather forecast is predicting winds through next Sunday at 15 to 20 knots with air temperature at 90 degrees and the water at 80 degrees. J

Jesse Richman, Chip Wasson, Mike Gephardt, Ken Winner, Sean Farley(MEX), Sky Solbach, Adel Lago (ESP) and Bruno Sroka (FRA) will try to top Damien Leroy, last years national Champion. On the Woman’s side, Kristin Boese will be battling it out with Melissa Gil and Sandy Parker for the national title.

This will be the first major event under ISAF and IKA govern ship and the great news is that both PKRA and KPWT Pro's will be on the starting line. It will be fun to see so many Bay Area Kite boarders coming down to compete in South Texas.
