I don't think Revs are good beginners kites - they move too fast. A Turbo is a good beginner's kite. They move nice and slow - leaving plenty of room to correct your mistakes.

Not sure if it matters but my girlfriend learned on Vegas' and loves them. We also had Rebels and Revs but ended up going back to Vegas' as the former two were just not what worked best for us at all.
