Help!

Hey everyone-

Right now, I'm down in the Dominican Republic in Cabarete. I've been here a few times for just riding... but this time, I'm here for work. I've started a nonprofit organization The Wishspring Foundation to raise money for a small school here in Cabarete.

I'm down here helping out with a brand new event called Cabarete Summer Fest - a huge part of this event is raising money and awareness for Wishspring and a similar local project, Develop A Kid.

We've just hit a pretty serious roadbump though; the DR government promised to help out with funding the event, but they've just stiffed us.

The event *needs* money, and can't help out my foundation without having some money to help pay for all the expenses. We've already put tons of our own money into it and cannot afford anymore.

$5000 US would cover us with a bit of comfort. If ANYONE wants to, or knows someone who might want to become a large sponsor and pay (we can put your logo on anything new that we print, tell everyone at theall is well back in MN events you're a sponsor, etc.).

I bet you'd reach that goal with small donations from the many of us that love Cabarete. Get that Paypal set up and re-post and you'll reach that goal in no time!

Yes, my organization is prepared to take online donations at
https://www.wishspring.org/donate. We are a US 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit corporation. By all means, check it out! every small donation counts.

The event we're involved with (Cabarete Summer Fest) is a separate entity which is looking for a business to sponsor it - this is separate from Wishspring. I am just trying to help the event organizers get the money they need, as a successful event here could mean lots more donations for my nonprofit (and thus, for the small school here in cab).

But yet, I am hoping that the kiteboarding community's love for this city inspires them to read about the school I am trying to help and they consider a small donation. :)
