a 21m Fuel?? WTF....
shame on that shop. But I must say they should have asked around a bit more and get familiar with the sport before going and buy something. But then again, they just were unlucky to not go to a real kite store...

Thats rediculous. It's one thing buying from some dude that wanted to go huge then decided it didn't work out but from a sports shop of any kind to sell them a suicide recipe is jacked up.

Glad you guys stopped em before it got ugly. I can only imagine the horror story that would have come from it. Especially with the winds out at sherman. At 240# I got yanked around by a 10m last weekend during a lesson. I think it was a good thing we didn't bust out the 12 that we used the prior weekend.

As a side note. Thanks to those that recommended kitopia. 2 lessons in and I'm really digging the style of teaching. I have been approved to go out and practice on my own at Alameda if I get lucky w/ the wind. Not quite up on the board yet but that's another story.

I don't think Play It Again Sports has a store in SF anymore - if they did buy the gear in SF close to Van Ness, it could be this place - they're on Jackson St., a block or so off of Van Ness (Russian Hill area):

Don't know anything about them, but walked through when they opened last year and at the time they had lots of surfboards and windsurfing gear, so maybe not out of the question that they sold a kite to someone.

Rematch sport does sell used kites. They even have a LMG mutant for sale. Check out the board list.

Ideally, the 21m kite recipient would bring it back...

thats kinda funny- (that board)
I found out the people were calling me LMG over at the SF shop. One day I'm in the store looking at boards and the manager says we want to get a few LMG boards to put in the shop.. I respond, yes I'd like to check those out... The guy says arn't you LoudMouthGreg??? I looked at him and smiled,, yes- thats me all right...

LOL!

That board is hilarious! They are also listing a 2-line Naish R3 for sale (2002?)- only a 9M, but hopefully someone isn't suckered into buying it as a beginner kite :^o
