Does my body dragging up the kicker count as mowing the lawn? The second time around I added some sea-lion sound effects to help put my new move in the category of "extreme."

Watch out, Ollie. I discovered on Sunday that giving up ROW and avoiding a pinching match can cause another kiter to become angry and scream insults at you. I did exactly what you describe to avoid a pinching match with an overly aggressive kiter (who recently somehow decided he was qualified to become a kiting instructor in the Bay) who was throwing -- and mostly blowing -- big unhooked moves directly in front of the launch inside the buoys.

Not only did he call me an idiot and curse me out, he followed me into the beach when I headed in, threatening to beat the crap out of me when he saw me in the parking lot. The whole experience pretty much killed my kiting buzz for the day. I don't think I'll be recommending anyone to his kite school.

He's not 18, but he was flying a black kite with red wingtips just like Chris described.

It says 10M, but it's really a 9.

Are you serious? I don't think behavior like that should be tolerated at all.

Paul--
What you discribe sounds pretty wacky, who is this so called instructor?? PM me if you'd like. I was kiting with a guy with a black Cabrina and red tips behind the island, and the guy is an instructor.. But I can't imagine him doing what you discibe, he was being very mello and respectful around me.
Thanks, Greg

It's our cousin Ovi. He went in just as I was getting out of the water.
