yeah, the suit is pretty nice. If you're going to be submerged in the water for long periods of time, like body-dragging, and going for tricks where you're going to be wiping out most of the time, the suit will get moist on the inside. I've been told that because the material is breathable, water will eventually works its way in.
But for teaching from a boat, where I jump in occasionally to retrieve a board or demonstrate a transition, it's awesome! It's superb with wind-resistance!

Notice the marketing of the "Pee-zip" feature. Maybe wetsuits should have that too. =D>

If you poke a hole in a drysuit you will sink like a rock.. how long can you hold your breath as your trying to let the water out of the suit ?? In the 80's there was a guy windsurfing at waddell creek when his fin cut a hole in his drysuit..It took 5 guys to pull him to the waters edge.

They may have improved the new drysuits? but I would do a test by sealing off the legs of the suit and fill it with water..if the water stays in the suit ?? your fish food fo sho..NICE!!!

I think this is a mis-conception. objects sink in water because it is more dense than water. the water inside your wetsuit/drysuit isn't more dense or 'heavier' than the surrounding water. the water inside your dry suit isn't going to make you sink. it is neutrally buoyant. The problem is when you try to climb off the water with water inside your wet/drysuit, that takes effort because you are lifting water higher than it's normal level. I have a dry suit and I usually deliberately let water in by pulling my neck seal (when i am in the water) and creating some airspace for water to fill in because I am overheating. I don't sink. I let the water out by pulling on the ankle seal once I am on the board or on shore. Simply cutting a hole or a slit in an otherwise form-fitting drysuit isn't going to let in much water bec there is not much airspace for the water to fill in. That guy back in the 80's most likely had a very loose fitting drysuit like the NPX with tons of airspace. When water gets in and completely fills up all that space it will indeed be very difficult to climb out of the water, but it will NOT sink you. You can still swim and keep at least your head off the water and be able to breath. In the Wadell surf it will 'feel' like you are sinking bec you can't keep your head high enough and quickly enough above the surf.
Hope this clarifies any fear of drysuit...

I will just go to a dealer and buy one..hey if I'm to hot that will be just fine with me on cold winter session!!! even if I sink?.. I will be smilin' fo sho..JK...Max
