Teaching my girlfriend and looking at two boards for her to learn and progress on. Used LF '08 145 WLF in good shape with upgraded Jimmy Lewis pads and straps. The other one is a brand new '10 LF 151 Proof. They are both the same price. Any opinions on which board would be best? (she's a big girl- 5'10")
Thanks
2010 LF Proof 151 or 2008 LF WLF 145 ?

The LF proof used to be sold without straps and pads--make sure you're not comparing board vs. board+straps&pads.

i'd say get the WLF. it's a better board. the proof is their super cheap beginner board. while it's important for beginners to have big boards, it's good for them not to be TOO big. a board that's too big is hard to edge properly (especially for girls) and then they can't go upwind.
WLF is a great board for learning...nice and wide so she won't need too big of a kite to get up and planing.
