New Member in Livermore

Hey all just wanted to say hello, just getting into kiteboarding (picked a terrible time LOL) but should have plenty of hrs on my trainer kite by the time the winds are consistient again! Im 48 and excited to get into something new. flew hang gliders for a number of years berfore I got married (not really a family sport!) then got into wakeboarding and that has been harder to do since my son is now serving in Afghanistan. This looks like a great way to combine my two favorite sports (flying and boarding) looking forward to some lessons in Alameda as I work in San Leandro. Any other members in the Livermore area? Lookng forward to seen ya on the water!

Yea that's me.... gotta get rid of my hang glider to start supporting a new addiction!! ........and I imagine I'll probably drink plenty of water kite surfin (may not be intentional though)!!

Welcome. Don't waste your time taking lessons in Alameda. Head out to Sherman Island and see Nat Lincoln at Edge Kiteboarding. You will be up and riding much faster with Nat.
