I was kind of expecting an update on the following topics:

- How much money was raised, did BayKeeper consider the operation a success?
- Who raises the most money and won the go-pro?
- How many folks attended? made it to Berkeley?
- Are there more pics beyond the ones Evan already posted? Any way to buy prints?

A bit of follow-up / wrap up would have been nice, without of course taking anything away for organizing this awesome event :)

This post is our only chance at stopping someone from asking why they scheduled it for a Monday this year

It's not on a Monday. As far as I know, it hasn't been scheduled yet for this year, or maybe it won't even happen. I'm guessing the Monday comment was in reference to the thread's subject line referring to last year's date, which is on a Monday in 2012.

While it was so much fun for so many kiters in 2011, we have to realize that it was incredibly stressful and overwhelming for all the boat volunteers, and most likely more rescues were done than they could have ever expected. Considering this, I wouldn't be surprised if the event was somehow changed or limited or maybe not even held again in 2012.

Maybe Monday, June 11 2012 would limit the number of kiters and help make the event happen! (although lots of kiters = lots of money = good fundraiser)

I think the early June date was good since it is still Nukin in the bay on the spring. I think doing it mid summer may be too late to get solid wind from crissy to berkeley
