Problem with the party- #-
This weekends party was a little too much.... To loud, To long, ..... Driving on the grass, etc...

Minna told me this morning, (quote) "NO MORE PARTIES!', If so I'll call the Sheriff"...
She was pretty pissed-

Yeah, I asked her myself and she said the same. Only way is to pull a permit for the event so there is a liable party for things like screwing stripper poles to canopies. I guess we failed at self governing ourselves. I am starting to see why windsurfers hate us so much. We cant even get a kite in the air without yelling or being buried in dyneema.

It was a windsurfer that was hired to dance at such stripper pole for this weekends bachelorette party. Apparently (at 3am) a very loud screaming noise was heard by many this morning. Something along the lines of "you F'in disrespectful Mother F'ers! You violated the salsa code! And I'm a windsurfer!" I know these words well because they woke me up too. I guess what happened was this hired stripper chick started to get freaky on the stripper pole (pole that is the cause of us not being able to have parties anymore). She was dancing with some guy to salsa music and the guy walked off. The chick was so upset she walked away and later came back with some other guy to try and find the dude that left her on the dance floor. So all the yelling about "you violated the salsa code!" was due to this chick being upset she didnt get the whole dance or something. And the final words i heard before she walked away was "AND I'm a windsurfer!" I know this makes little sense but damn it was funny.

Maybe we deserve what's coming to us. I mean really, who leaves a windsurfer stripper in the middle of a salsa dance???

The party is cancelled, thanks to those who were going to help out (about two people).

So, despite knowing that Club Sherman was planned for next week, a group of girls decided to have a bachelorette party up there anyway. Now, as a result of the mayhem, noise, late night shit, problems and disrespect brought about during that party, Mina, the park host was super-pissed and there are no more parties to be had at Sherman.

NIce going guys. Don't expect me to pursue this or any other parties for a minute longer, it is, and has been a waste of my time and effort for a group of people (kiters) whose tendency is to be little more than selfish wasted buffoons and out of control idiots, which Sherman has become a stagnant haven for.

I won't name any people individually, but there are some involved who are supreme examples and textbook cases of jackasses and who were instrumental in this happening.

Pass on the word, the parties cancelled.

WE FUCKED UP-
I even took a ride in the little 4X4 (seemed to be pretty harmless at the time)
The minor damage (from pole) to shed was fixed pronto, no worries-

We just need to remember Sherman Island is a Wildlife Refuge, not the other way around...

What impressed me was that 6 kiters kited at 6 am!
(that's sleeping thru a rock concert skilz) =D> =D> =D>

You should have seen =D> the amount of fresh Otter Poo that was all over the Kicker in the morning (it's floating only 300' away from the party location) They must have enjoyed the salsa :mrgreen:

Woooo oooooo !!!!! about time.The last couple of years, every time we've been to Sherman, we had to move our vehicle in front of Bob the Host to get some sleep.

There seems to be a party/parties every time we go ... either some big organized one or some improvised night club on the back of an RV with lights loud music etc ... going til 1 am ...

Now here's the thing, the majority of people that go and camp at Sherman would like to have a good night sleep to be able to wake up relatively early and get a good morning sesh.
