OK that explains it - thanks. they were swarming yesterday (and dropped in on me on several waves...)

They still didn't get the memo...that windsurfing has been canceled. Even mother nature agrees. Light to no wind all weekend except maybe Fri. evening.

(It does suck for them to have no wind. Planing around waves and weather is tough!)

Glad I hung out at Scotts yesterday..... While I was out for 2 hours, there was just me and 3 other kites
But that explains why I saw a lotta poleboarders driving by

puh-lease....give it a rest. This kitesurfer vs. windsurfer thing is so five years ago.

If you are in that neck of the woods this weekend, well worth seeing some of the best windsurfers in the world rip the waves. Conditions today were perfect!

This one is even funnier: "Why does it seem that windsurfing is fading away".

I get along fine with (most) windsurfers but personally I'd rather watch the action from the water... I don't have time in my life to hit the beach and not kite and I'm definitely not thrilled about any event (WSing or Kiting) taking over prime real estate for three days. It's not like there are dozens of beaches around here with good wind and waves.
