Sunday July 8th please join the 3rd Ave community and participate in a community Swap Meet, Site Clean-Up (upper launch lower launch and everything in- between) and BBQ!!! This event is to give a little back to a spot that we all love and enjoy, yet is fairly neglected by all who go there...So clean out your garages, closets and car trunks of all that gear you dont use anymore and then help cleanup our beaches of all that garbage nobody wants to see anymore either. After kiting and cleaning bring something for the grill and whatever else you want and enjoy the wonderful people that make 3rd Ave. the BEST in the west!!!

General time frame? Any tools/implements (i.e. rake, cargo van, shovel - are we digging out sea grass again)? Windsurf gear welcome?

Windsurfing/kitesurfing gears are all welcome. The general plan for the swap meet would be from noon till the wind picks up and then from 5 till 7pm.
Tony, can you provide us with the time for cleanup and what should we bring.

As far as the clean-up time goes, how about 11-1pm? That gives enough time before wind picks up for a decent sweep of upper and lower launch areas....Things people can bring would be Gloves, buckets (5gal home depot style) Rakes may be helpful & few Hefty trash bags and some positive enthusiasm about doing something good for the community!! Thats all I can think of for now, any suggestions are welcome....

For the more ambitious, low tide looks to be about 10:30am and about a 0 level...and will be about 1' at noon...so good time to clean launch areas at the "waters edge" and out of any rocks, etc that should be removed.
