I often get frustrated with civilians (non kiters) Some one called 911 on a kiter that was out by himself trying to launch his kite in the water with 10 mph winds. First the fire dept suv then the fire dept boat. All this while some guy is trying to water launch his kite in waist deep water. A message to the kiter don't kite alone use the buddy system . lets meet I'll join you out there. Second you were in light winds with a wet kite pointing it the wrong direction. Figure out a better way to self launch or a better place to learn. That spot is not that popular and we do not need a bad reputation or worse a ban from that location. The only mistake that I did is I forgot to leave my number on your cart . I will meet you there and help you launch and we can figure out a self launch / land spot . Lets just avoid the "kiter in distress "
